After lasts weeks tragic loss of sound the boys return, still without Johnny but with a Ruairi in his place and of course it being that time of year, its the housekeepin’ Halloween special. Yes this week the gang get in touch with more spirits than your gran at a wake. Firstly the boys use the ghost of Halloweens past to try and figure out why the holiday now means so little to them and try to see when they first turned into the grumpy haters of all things involving tricks and or treats. After this the gang turn down the lights, turn up the fire and get into ghost story mode. As always the ghost stories are more filled with utter bollox than frights but that still won’t stop the boys from creating a podcast so scary that it will make Nightmare on Elms look like an episode of the Gummy Bears, which could be kinda scary if you have a phobia of Gummy and or bears. Oh and another small problem, its apparently in mono, so no your headphones are not broken.

You can’t get it right every week, and this week the boys made a little mistake. Yes there is a problem with the sound during this podcast, but was too good to loose so here it is anyway. What is so special about this podcast I hear you ask? Well its because we introduce you to a new friend, which is our old friend Tony. Yes while one of the gang is away, Tony came in and helped us get to know not just him, but a little bit about our selves too. Though this podcast does delve into the normal levels of nonsense, what you think just because the trio aint together its not going to have a part where nothing but nonsense comes out? You’re having a laugh. Yes also this week the gang discuss the recent opening of the British X files and ask the big questions of what it would be like to come across a UfO and be told to fire…granted the alien sounds a lot like the genie and priest from last week but what are you gonna do? The boys return in the now officially prize losing pod cast with more nonsense than the plot of eagle eye. First up for the boys this week they attempt to make up for last weeks drunken feel up of a pod cast and get down to some serious talk, this goes by the way side in record time as they quickly change to talking about confession box habits. The gang then move onto the age old problem of if you had three wishes what would you do, this proves a harder task than one would think because you need to factor in the personality clashes between the people making the wish and the genie that’s granting them, basically its hard if the genie is a bit of a knob. The show then comes to end with the boys announcing their new service, yes now for a very nominal fee you can book the landlords for any social event, even not so social ones, they’ll just come round to your house and watch “Deal or no Deal” with you, it will be more fun but Noel Edmunds will still be a twat.

They say life beings at 40, but we’re not in the business of pleasing housewives who have chosen to stay at home so we can safely say that that phrase is wrong. A much better one would be comedy begins at 40, because welcome to the 40th housekeepin. This week the boys set their sights on debunking the top ten things that can not be explained by science, however the boys get caught up when discussing the wonder of big foot, which is fair when you think one of them is quite hairy, legendary and famous. The only real difference is Colm chooses not to wear a watch, while I’m sure Big Foot did at some stage. Moving on from this the boys attack penguins, this surely doesn’t need further explanation and finally they add more stuff to their cool wall. It is worth noting that the boys were out celebrating the 40th show before recording, so they are a little bit drunk, but they all in good fun.

So 39 weeks in which gives us roughly say 40 hours of podcasts. What can you do in 40 hours? Perhaps watch all the saw movies twice or play the ‘Just a minute Quiz’ 2400 times, though what we recommend is listening to this weeks show 40 times, because its just that good. This week the boys talk about the much misunderstood the shocker. The shocker is kind of like marmite, you either love it or you hate it, only if you love it you may very well have a whole bag of issues that a simple comedy podcast cant help with. The gang (and girl) then move onto a new feature, Bob’s Corner, where they discuss what defines Metal, and no it isn’t a lattice of positive ions surrounded by a cloud of delocalised electrons so pipe down nerdy boy. Finally the gang make plans to create a wall of pure awesome, simply known as the Awesome Wall, there are rumours that it may be the only object visible from space but that’s simply not true. Well enjoy the show that still loves you even if you use a shocker and be on the look out for a revisit from The Style after the finish..
